Well, we *had* snow. :o)
I woke up to about 4 inches of snow on the ground and a bright, sunny sky. This is the backyard at 8:20 am. By about 9am all the roads in town were clear and by the time I got home from errands at 11, the roads out by my house were clear as well.
Backyard at 11 am.
And at 5pm. There isn't much left.
Plenty of people were out enjoying the snow, though few were out driving at 8:30am. The Wal-Mart parking lot had about 30 cars in it and there were perhaps 20 shoppers in the store, which is highly unusual on a Saturday morning. The deli was also closed.
Some people went sledding (my apologies to the person whose behind I am showing on the Internet):
My neighbors made a snow person:

(I have asked for snow for my birthday twice in my life. The first time I was 18 and within two hours they closed O'Hare. The second time I was turning 25 or so and four states were declared federal disaster areas. I have been advised to *never* do that again.)
